Bridging the Gap with the Diaspora
The American Council for Africa hosted an invitation-only business roundtable at K Hotel on September 23, 2023 (2–6 pm) themed “Increasing Engagement and Investments with the Diaspora.” The special guest, Dr. Umar Johnson, a Pan-Africanist, psychologist, scholar, and author, was in Cameroon to discuss the “great return” concept and showcase business opportunities through engagement with the African American diaspora. He envisions a connected Africa built on cultural awareness, unrestricted commercial exchange, and investment in African expertise. The attached photos capture the event, including group portraits, guest interactions, and a speaker at the podium.
