A new five year American presidential initiative launched by president Barack Obama in Tanzania during his African tour in July 2013 .The initiative aims at supporting economic growth and development by increasing access to reliable , affordable and sustainable power in Africa .The program is designed as a multi stakeholders partnership among the government of the USA , Tanzania ,Kenya , Ethiopia, Ghana , Nigeria and Liberia .the African development bank group has been a key partner in the design of the initiative and will continue to be during it's implementation ,and it was praised by president Obama .the African development bank is expected to allocate 3billion us dollars in the next five years which will leverage at least four times more investment in the energy sector which will include investing loans ,reforms , advising as ND guarantees will be commuting at least 3 billion in the priority countries .. The 3 billions USD available for investment in the energy sector will translate into actual bulbs in people's homes and electricity necessary to grow small business if state utilities as re efficient and effective.
